  1. This is a longer, well developed piece but I wanted to keep it concise and to the point for the blog. I highly recommend reading this book if you love the rawness of the one-second decision. Also, I wanted to point out here that we have the opportunity make one second decisions off the court too. Our initial reactions to things not going our way largely impacts how we respond overall. I think we can all learn from the poise and maturity that Dick is talking about here.

  2. In today’s environment (particularly with girls, and not to be sexist), I’m trying to figure out how to say this without seeming like a dispassionate jerk. Just got done coaching a clinic this weekend and thought this idea would come in handy a couple of times–if I just knew how to say it.
