PEE-dribbles is a term that started with Dick DeVenzio. They are dribbles that do not take you anywhere, they are the opposite of ex-dribbles which are explosive dribbles. One type of PEE-Dribble is a momentum dribble. Momentum dribbles happen all the time. It’s the kind of thing an average fan would never notice, but, a good coach would cherish a player who eliminated their momentum dribbles. Here’s Dena on why…
Most useless dribbling (PEE-dribbles) are east-west instead of to the paint (north-south) where you are much more dangerous. PEE dribbles kill explosiveness, discourages your teammates to stand around instead of mooooving and, for good defenses, will trigger traps that force you to lose your dribble.
