A little thing that Dena talked about that I really used in the prime of my career was actually grabbing my screener’s body or jersey to eliminate all possible space for the defender to get through. When people know you are a shooter and they are fighting hard to get though screens grabbing your screener makes it hard for that defender to hold true to the “refuse to be screened” mindset many coaches teach.
